We Out Here

Today we began a quest of the meaning of exploring our faith and discovering what we have to offer. We are starting to transtion from, “What’s in it for me????” —-> “What do we have to offer each other and everyone involved with this youth gathering????”

It all started out on this beautiful friday morning warming up the bus along with our hearts. Wyatt was ready to go with a cup of jo, but now after a long day of vigorous travel (13 hours!!!!!!!!!!) we can barely keep him awake! Bus games were rowdy. We stopped for a pic nic in the beautiful truck stop out side of Menonmie, Wisconsin. (Brady said it was the birth place of Jesus but his sources dont really check out). On the bus again watching some inspirational movies to get our minds thinking! We then had dinner in Janesville, Wisconsin to replenish our bodies and stretch our limbs. Pastor Simon enjoyed a nice burrito OMG!!!! Then on the last leg of the drive we broke out the crafts to make the time fly by! In other news Pope Francis called for a ‘Globalization of hope’ criticizing the global economic system that values profit at any cost and Ford just annouced that they are cancelling production of sedan small cars, looks like we will get to Detriot just in time #savingDetriot #RISEUP!!! And so our story begins….

Super Jack

Hello Everyone,

Many of you know that one of our Trinity Friends in Faith youth, Jack Evavold, has been in the hospital for almost 6 weeks. He was hospitalized in late October and has had surgeries since then on his brain. Jack has been in and out of intensive care. He is currently being treated with antibiotics to reduce the size of the abscesses on his brain and will be in the hospital for a while to come.

We are joining in the effort to support Jack through a fundraiser to help the family with some of the medical costs. “Lend a Hand” has offered to match any funds that are raised, up to $5,000. This would be such a great way to continue to support Jack and his family!
